STORY BUILDERS - - Students will explore concepts of building and design through
hands-on activities, complemented by book talks and read-alouds.

Fridays, Oct. 2nd, 9th, and 16th from 3:15 - 4:30
* * Students may take the CAT bus from school (send note) or be dropped off.

SATUR PLAY DAYS - - Seasonal crafts for the entire family
October 17th and November 7th from 10:00 - 11:00

A CHRISTMAS CAROL - - performance during the Holiday Stroll
December 12th at 3:00

After School Homework/Reading Club   
September to June on Wednesdays from 3:00-4:30 p.m.

Historical Fiction Section

The Lake Placid Public Library has an extensive children's collection featuring both fiction and non-fiction, from picture books and easy readers to middle-level and young-adult (YA) titles. Our collection strikes a balance providing children of all ages access to print for a variety of purposes, from pure entertainment to worldly insight and resources to support topic learning.

Junior Picture Books Section

Our engaging and informative children's titles also strike a balance between current and classic works. We welcome you to browse our collection and join us for one or all of our many programs related to children's and family literacy.

Non-Fiction Section
